The Honourable Steven Blaney, Canada’s Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness and the Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of National Defence made the following statements today regarding the conclusion of the assistance of Canadian Armed Forces members in fighting Saskatchewan’s wildfires. The decision to redeploy troops was made following consultation between the Province of Saskatchewan, Public Safety Canada and the Canadian Armed Forces.
